This project will help you to think about your ideal career and to conduct research on a career of your choice (possibly one suggested to you by one of the career assessments taken within this course). It is important to compile as much information about this career and evaluate the appropriateness of this career for you. Upon compiling this information, you will present your findings in a 2-3 page written paper.

Your paper should include the following information:

• What is the career that you chose to research?

• What are the reasons that you chose this career?

• What exactly does someone with this career do?

• What are the working conditions, including things like hours and vacation time?

• What is the salary range and average salary?

• What is the work environment like?

• What is the education required for this career?

• What are some of the skills required?

• What is the future outlook for this job?

• What are some of the possible career paths for someone in this profession?

• What are some advantages and/or disadvantages of working in this career?

• What interesting facts did you discover about this career?

• Discuss why this career would or would not be a good choice for you (think MBTI!)

• What are some goals you can set for the next year to bring you closer to qualifying for this career?
