In her lecture on October 24th, Reverby said that the story of the Tuskegee Study had been made into a melodrama, through simplified news reports and stories of evil doctors who seemed to function on the fringe of medicine.

Question: How has Reverby tried to stop the melodramas and correct the story? As a historian, what evidence does she provide to contextualize and explain why Tuskegee happened and how it continued for so long?

Requirements: First, you must develop a thesis that answers the question above. Second, to prove your thesis, you should choose solid points of evidence. You should NOT just summarize the event and book, but use material and quote from both to illustrate your thesis.

Sources: You are required to use evidence from both Reverby’s book and her lecture. No other web or outside sources are permitted without permission of the professor. Be sure to cite your sources and all quotes. To simplify your citations, you may use (Reverby, p. 20) or (Reverby Lecture), and then include a Works Cited page that lists both.

Argument: Paper should contain a strong historical argument. Based on your reading of the sources, you should create a clear argument/thesis that reflects what you will demonstrate in the paper. The argument should be stated clearly toward the beginning of the paper.

Evidence: your argument should be supported by historical evidence, including several quotes from your sources. Please refrain from using web sources!

Prose: concentrate on clarity and organization. I recommend reading your paper out loud to verify that you have a logical sequence of ideas.

Grammatical/Technical Issues:
-Choose an appropriate title for your paper
-Avoid passive voice; be sure your sentences have a strong subject. For example, avoid sentences like "there was strong support for Lincoln’s policy". The reader wants to know, who supported Lincoln’s policy? The following sentence is much stronger: "Republicans supported Lincoln’s policy".
-Write history in PAST tense.
-Be sure to capitalize proper names.
-Indent and single space all quotes over for lines; avoid using several long quotes in short papers.
-Number your pages and remain within the page limit.
-Be sure to spell check and format your paper properly.
-Consult the syllabus for other course policies.

IMPORTANT FOR THE WRITER TO READ: i need quotes from the book or from the lecture ONLY, thereby i am putting 0 sources here as I do not need outside source. I had an argument with another writer for another paper before because of this.

i am attaching with you, the link to the video and a document that i got from another writer (i bought this paper earlier), i got a C- for it, please let me know if you couldnt do the paper, i do not want to waste my money to get a bad grade. thank you so much!
