Select a crisis from your past, one that you have successfully resolved or been part of. Note that your crisis does not have to be huge and life threatening although it can be. Choose something that happened to you, something developmental in nature.
Once you have chosen, take a few minutes to reflect on that experience by answering the following questions in writing:
1. What was the crisis? Describe it briefly.
2. How did you manage to resolve the crisis?
3. In what way(s) are you a different person as a result of that crisis?
4. How did your relationships with others change as a result of that crisis?
5. What, if any, important lessons about life did you learn?
