One of the goals of this class is to increase awareness about current
biology especially as it relates to global topics. Your task is to find an
article about a biology topic that has been published in 2009 to the
present. (These should be full length articles and not a brief “digest”
summary of an original article). You may choose articles about different
topics, or, if there is an issue that is changing quickly and getting a lot of
news attention, you may follow the story of a single topic in more than
one of your summaries.Your sources may include a news magazine, a science
magazine, or a science journal. Be sure that your source is researchbased
and credible.
Your article review may also be from 2 articles of the same topic. Your
review may compare and contrast the articles. This may also be an option
if finding an article of suitable length is difficult to find.
Citing your article: All article reviews must include an MLA style citation.
Examples of how to cite can be found on the blue MLA Style Guide available in the
library and on the library website under “Works Cited Link” on the left side of the
page. All article reviews should also include an annotation with the citation which
explains the information source of your article. This annotation should include how
you accessed your article and where it was originally published. Use the following
