You are required to analyse and evaluate your organisations OHS management system, process and/or procedures,
using all relevant OHS data available, and then develop specific programs around the areas that require
improvement or change. Note: it is essential you review your organisations OHS Consultation and Communication
Program
Prepare a report and address the following criteria in your OHS Project Report:
1. Undertake an OHS Needs Analysis (OHSNA) using all relevant internal and external sources of OHS
information, regarding your organisation. Ensure you address consultation and communication.
2. Using the Australian Standards relating to OHS principles, develop an OHS action plan for the
identified consultation and communication needs. In developing your plan consider:
• Objectives, targets and timeframes, positive performance indicators.
• Resource planning – allocation of budgets, responsibilities etc. Identify the items that would
require cost analysis.
i. Implementation – training, consultation, record-keeping and data control etc.
ii. Monitoring and measurement – How will the program be monitored i.e. biological monitoring,
inspections, benchmarking, audits, etc.
iii. Management Review – detail what information will need to be reported to senior management for
incorporation into the annual/management Report.
3. Detail what resistance/barriers you might expect (internally/externally) and your recommendations for
the smooth implementation of the approach to assist employees with the change. Take into consideration the
