The return of the Screwworm in Florida

In the rubric/guide sheet provided, one of the requirements is that the essay is conducted over a 30-day period. To combat this, I suggest using Google's search tool to set what range of time it searches in. To get to this, above all the results of a search but below the search bar there should be a button for "Search Tools." Go to "Time" and set "Custom Range." Remember, the paper requires 3 articles that have been written at least 10 days apart from each other. At the bottom of this explanation I have links to example articles I have gotten using this method. You can use these or any other articles that meet the requirements. They will also be in the files I upload. All other guidelines are set out in the file called "RUBRIC." 11/02/16 https://www.avma.org/News/JAVMANews/Pages/161115e.aspx 11/13/16 http://www.pri.org/stories/2016-11-13/screwworm-back-and-it-s-bad-news-florida-s-endangered-deer 11/25/16 http://www.nytimes.com/2016/11/25/us/parasi

  1. One strand of a single DNA helix is labeled red while the other strand of the same DNA helix is labeled blue. This double helix DNA is replicated through the process of semi-conservative replication. Note that a completely newly synthesized strand of DNA will be white. Predict what the colors of the newly replicated DNAs (both strands) would be, explaining your prediction based on your understanding of semi-conservative replication.

  1. Explain the process of DNA transcription to a friend. What are the main results of the process? Do the same for translation.

  1. Transcribe and translate the following sequence of DNA: TTAACGCCA. There is a mutation that resulted in AAA being inserted after G. Predict how this mutatio
