Critical Issue Paper will be 4-5 pages double-spaced pages. Its purpose is for you to investigate and analyze a critical issue or controversy in religion that is of interest to you. Each students topic must be different. The topic can be contemporary or historical and cover any element of doctrine, practice, or politics that has caused a dispute within a religious tradition or between different religious groups. It is important that the paper cover the context, history, and as many sides of the critical issue as possible. I will work with you to develop the themes for your papers. There are several due dates for this project throughout the semester.
