Purpose: Explore some of the national data sets on health outcomes (ie NHANES, NHIS, National Health Care Survey(s), National Survey of Family Growth, etc).
Instructions: Write a paper that includes the following:
1. Identify a topic of interest that affects a cultural or demographic group in a population with a particular health problem or condition i.e. obesity in teens, type II diabetes black women, depression in elderly Hispanic persons, etc.
2. Locate at least two national data sets that would assist you in gaining further knowledge about this topic.
3. Identify the specific variables in the dataset pertaining to your topic of interest.
4. Propose one research question that emanates from one of these databases on this topic
5. Identify one dependent and two independent variables from among the actual variables in the data set.
Length: Your paper should be between 4 to 6 pages (not including your Title and Reference pages).
Format: Please follow APA format including a title page and running head.
Grading Criteria:
