It appears many people view these initiatives are discretionary and they are therefore among the first to be cut. If you decide it is prudent to make cuts you should say how the issue will be managed. Your argument should make reference to the HR business case. The organisation involved could be one you are familiar with or that you have studied in your MBA so far or it may be on one you have read about in the business press.
