6. Your company has recently decided to expand into online sales. The company wishes to continue to sell its products in the retail stores located throughout the United States but they also wish to establish a presence on the Internet. Research the online marketing opportunities available for retail sales and provide a report to your manager which includes the advantages and disadvantages of marketing online, the potential
impact of online sales to the company, and the requirements for a successful online
marketing campaign.
7. The CEO of your company has asked you to research the claim that being more
ethical and socially responsible in business increases efficiency in the workplace. The
CEO has asked you to prepare a report that describes how business ethics and social
responsibility can be used to increase efficiency, the effect that it can have on the
reputation of the company, and the effect it can have on the company’s relationships
with employees, investors, and customers.

Introduction:
This task consists of the following products: an organized reference document, a business report, and a presentation. Its purpose is to demonstrate your competence in researching, evaluating, interpreting, and presenting information on an important question in a given business scenario. You will locate, interpret, and evaluate relevant reference material to
understand the topic. You will organize your references. Then, you will report your findings and justify your recommendations in two different formats—the business report and the multimedia business presentation.
Task:
A. Select a scenario from the attached “Scenario List.”
B. Use research tools to find 10 sources that support the topic from the scenario you chose in part A.
1. Prepare a document in which you organize your 10 reference titles into at least 3
main ideas.
C. Prepare a business report based on your research findings that includes the following:
1. Cover page
2. Table of contents
3. Executive summary (suggested length of 1 page) that overviews the purpose of the
Report
4. Introduction (suggested length of 1 page) that will:
a. Introduce the subject and purpose of the report.
b. Preview the main ideas of the report.
c. Establish your relationship to the audience based on the scenario you selected in
part A.
5. Body of the report (suggested length of 3–5 pages) that will:
a. Present the information gathered during your research investigation.
b. Analyze the information gathered during your research investigation.
c. Make a recommendation to management based on the topic’s research findings.
6. Conclusion that will:
a. Emphasize the main points of the message.
b. Reiterate the logic behind your recommendation(s).
c. Summarize the benefits to the reader.
7. Reference page for all references cited in the report. Your report must include at
least 10 references.
D. Provide a multimedia presentation (suggested length of 10 slides) covering the main
points of your business report that is tailored to your audience. Be sure to submit the
multimedia presentation as an attachment to this task.
E. If you use sources, include all in-text citations and references in APA format.
