Attached paper is a student wrote for an Honors Project on the concept of Big Data and how it can be used to compare sales of iPhones and Samsung phones (it actually took 1st Place in the Honors Competition). Read the paper and then go to Google Trends and do your own comparison between two things. It can be a company, a product or anything you choose. The goal is to find a “story” between the two using Big Data. In the paper, he found that actual sales of the phones didn’t very much, but searches for iPhones was much higher. The “story” is that while the cool factor of iPhones generates more interest, it doesn’t translate into actual sales. Also, don’t such an in-depth report as what’s in the paper, just aim for 2 pages or so.
