TWO PERSPECTIVES ON GOVERNMENT PROGRAMS

Read the article carefully and understand the author’s main theme or argument.

In your 500-600 word article/discussion paper:

1)  Summary: Summarize what you understand to be the main theme and important points;

2) Comments: Find a point/argument/aspect of the article that you find interesting and explain why you focused on that point.

The article for this week has two parts. Part One looks at how government can be wasteful with taxpayer money, and Part Two points out the importance of the government’s support for public programs and some of the concerns with privatization.
