For example, are we a product of inherited genetics or the environment? Are we a product of past experiences, present circumstances, or future aspirations? What motivates human behavior? What distinguishes normal personality and behavioral development from abnormal or dysfunctional personality and behavioral development?

Element Three: Alignment with existing theories.

In this section, you should utilize what you already know about psychological theories and models to identify and explain alignment (and potentially lack of alignment) between your personal views on personality and behavior and existing theoretical models.
• Identify and explain the theory or theories which you believe align with your personal beliefs.
• Establish and explain those aspects which you agree with and those which you disagree with in the presented theory or theories.
• Provide a rationale for areas of agreement and areas of disagreement.
