In this 4th reading journal, you will first read “Piracy Gave Me A Future”  (Links to an external site.)by Daniel Starkey. After reading this article, consider Starkey’s purpose for writing, as well as his argument. What message is he trying to send his readers?

The rhetorical elements will be very helpful in answering these questions. You are encouraged to consider them and use them in your response.

Additionally, you will practice integrating source material into your writing. Consider one section of “evidence” from the article to support your claims. Decide if that evidence would best present as a direct quote, summarized, or paraphrased. Then, integrate that source material into your writing, with a proper in-text citation. Remember: there are a number of ways to accurately cite in MLA.
